The use of GPS technology in different aspects of life is increasing day by day and hence it doesn't come as a surprise that more and more companies are using this technology to keep a track of their vehicles all over the world.

The GPS tracking system has so many advantages that it is slowly becoming an integral aspect for all business owners and other companies. Its biggest advantage lies in the fact that it can track the location of any vehicle moving anywhere in the world with great accuracy. By using the GPS one gets full information regarding the number of service and non service stops that the vehicle makes. Time taken for an installation or service call can also be found out and such data can be analyzed to increase the fleet efficiency.

The use of GPS tracking system is also cost effective. The cost of fuel can be reduced because the GPS system keeps a check on the speed of the vehicle. By keeping a check on over speeding, cost of fuel is reduced, but in addition to that there are several other advantages. The chances of accident are minimized, gas mileage improves and maintenance cost is also reduced. One big advantage with the GPS system is that their signals reach all over the world, even in deserts and jungles!

A detailed report about the journey can be obtained directly from the computer using the GPS system. This helps in cutting labor costs. The report contains all the details of the journey including the number of stops made and the duration of each stop. This is more convenient way than the logbooks which are filled by the drivers of the vehicles and hence their authenticity is always in doubt.

Cargo thefts can be prevented by using the GPS tracking system. In addition to that GPS can also be used in recovery through its accurate monitoring. Vehicle thefts can also be prevented in the same way. Billing disputes can be resolved GPS keeps all the information regarding the arrival and departure time, to and from a customer address and hence there can be no confusion about the amount of time which is to be billed.

The use of company vehicle for personal use by the employees can be checked using the GPS tracking system. The use of GPS system will discourage the driver to use the vehicle for any personal use. This will ultimately turn out to be profitable for the company.

With so many advantages, GPS is certainly the best way to track fleets!
