GPS technology blending in cell phone: GPS cell phone is one of the most innovative GPS tracking devices on the market today. The mobile phone technology has proved its scope by introducing this new GPS technology to make the communication easier although it is not accepted by all. GPS-enabled phones let you view and listen to turn-by-turn directions via your handset which is quite similar to in-car Global Positioning System navigation devices. It is not accepted by all these GPS cells phone can track anything as well as the privacy issues. No body wants that a third party would interfere in their privacy or their movements.

Earlier the technology was not so perfect or accurate because the tracking system was not possible earlier. The third party or the cell companies were able to estimate the user’s location when their cell phones continued to broadcast a radio signal in the triangulation method. And it was not an effective form of tracking and was a boring process with wasting time for cell companies in that time.

But now in this ultra tech mobile generation, the GPS devices are loaded in all most all cell phones to trace and track anyone accurately. There are several advantages to these GPS technology today. No one who is carrying a GPS phone can be away from the eyes of the Big Brother. The tracking can be done in just 24 hours from a remote spot without the user’s knowledge what the step is being taken against him/ her. This technology allows users to provide tracking information to third parties for e911 emergency calls only. That is why the government has tried to restrict the damage that such technology. Here are some benefits of these devices:

  1. Track can be possible to the vehicle movements of business owners and fleet managers.
  2. After receiving the call from these cell phones, Police and hospital services can locate the accident spot and can save precious lives.
  3. Individuals can use their cell phones to locate a place, find an alternative route when lost and even relay information about your ETA to their relatives or children.
  4. Cell phone GPS tracking can also be used to locate children and elderly relatives in a hurry, in case they need urgent assistance.

Any how the Courts have flatly refused to allow law enforcement agencies to obtain GPS tracking information from cell phone companies. The information is allowed only when the agencies provide clinching evidence that such tracking will be useful in resolving a criminal case or it is in the interest of the country.
